When Martin and Zen, entrepreneurs from Limassol, needed new accounting software after Wave exited the European markets, they were surprised by what they found...or rather, what they didn’t.
The available options were either outdated, clunky systems requiring complicated setups and expensive maintenance or generic international solutions that didn’t meet the needs of Cypriot businesses.
No one truly cared about Cyprus, when it came to accounting software.
Determined to change this, they envisioned Balabook: an accounting app built with Cyprus in mind.
They weren’t interested in creating just another software—they aimed to build a tool that truly helps SMEs grow. Their mission was clear and ambitious: develop a platform that allows accountants and business owners to spend less time wrestling with accounting and more time focusing on growth, or simply enjoying their well-deserved free time.
